Mashing up the progressive with the traditional, the Black Label Series Fret-King Country Squire Classic is an old-school-new-school innovation. Fully stable, this TE-style electric guitar comes kitted out with a high-grade Wilkinson WTB bridge, a set of Wilkinson WJ05 machine heads and a self-lubricating Graph Tech nut to sure-up the intonation as well as the tuning, and this is combined with a solid alder body and hard maple neck to complete a sweetly resonant foundation.

The Fret-King Country Squire Classic: Wide-Range Tone
While the pickup planted at the neck looks like a humbucker, that's not exactly right. This is a custom-designed Staggertwin: a double-coiled pup with staggered pole pieces. Teamed up with a Varicoil switch, this pickup can be dialled back from the full and warm output of a dual-coil, to the more traditional twang and bite of a single-coil at will. At the bridge, a just-as-unique Tapped-Fifty overwound and tappable single-coil shovels out authentic fifties-style spank framed by clearly emphasised mid-frequencies and some extra power. Wide-ranging sonic joy in a tight and familiar package.

For a start, the 3-piece alder body has been decked out with a 4" centre-block for improved resonance, while the neck joint has been kept as slim as possible and combines with an extra-deep cutaway for smooth access to the highest frets.

The Corona Classic: Hardware & Electronics
Made of premium maple, the fretboard has a modern 10" radius to guarantee a high playing comfort, whether you're playing chords or solos. Also, in support of superior intonation and sustain, almost all of the hardware has been supplied by Wilkinson, with the nut coming from GraphTech. The two single-coil pickups in the neck and middle position set you up with vintage ST-style tone, while the beefed-up humbucker at the bridge serves to deliver ultra-hard rock or beautifully raw blues depending on how it's dialled in.
