Beschreibung

The four-piece Pearl Masters Maple Reserve is made up of a 22-inch by 18-inch bass drum, a 10-inch by 7-inch and 12-inch by 8-inch tom, and a 16-inch by 14-inch floor tom. Unique to this set, are the especially thin North American maple shells - the same wood used to build the much-applauded Masterworks Series drums. The maple is hand-selected to ensure the best possible quality and is put through an extra-long drying process before being brought to shape. Each of these shells comes donning a Satin Charred Oak wrap and is finished with chrome-plated hardware.

Pearl Masters Maple Reserve
To keep the shells as thin as possible, just four plies of maple have been used, resulting in 5mm-thick walls strengthened by reinforcement-rings to add a further four plies to the edges. This construction strikes the optimum balance between resonance and maximum strength. The wood is then lacquered in 38 painstaking steps to result in an incredibly open and full sound framed by a fat low-end.

Shell Hardware
To pull the best possible sound out of these uncommon shells, they've been mounted with specialised hardware. So, the Low Mass FatTone hoops have specially welded edges for enhanced stability, and are low-weight to increase sustain and resonance without any loss of projection. The toms are mounted via a single lug using the OptiMount Suspenion System so that no contact is made with the shell, allowing unhindered resonance. To finish, Pearl have pre-installed a set of Remo Clear Ambassador heads on the toms and floor tom, and a Remo Ported Powerstroke 3 head on the kick. For extra control over the kick sound, a bass drum muffler even comes included as standard.

This 5-piece Black Cherry Glitter drum kit is part of Pearl's best-selling Export Series and comes complete with a HWP-830 hardware pack, P-930 Demonator bass drum pedal and a Sabian SBR Performance cymbal set. To build the shells, Pearl have used their unique Superior Shell Technology (SST), which means that the wood is completely dried out before being glued together to create a highly durable construction. For the best possible sound, an Opti-Loc mounting system was installed for the toms to guarantee full resonance and stability due to minimal contact with the shell.

The Pearl Export EXX725SBR-C704 Black Cherry Glitter: 6-Ply Shells
This Pearl Export kit comes with 6-ply poplar and Asian mahogany shells with a 7.5mm thickness and 45-degree, 1.6mm triple-flanged hoops for a deeper and richer sound. Just like the Opti-Loc system for the toms, the fitted lugs ensure minimal contact with the shells for even more resonance and sustain.

In order to develop the e/MERGE electronic drum kit, Pearl used technology by renowned synth brand Korg. This technology in Wave Drums can be found in this kit's PUREtouch pads. These unique pads are built up of six layers and extremely sensitive due to the Wave Triggers. No matter where you hit it, the adjustable drumhead tension will have an impact on the sound. This makes it very similar to an acoustic kit. This e/Hybrid configuration includes 10, 12 and 14-inch tom pads and a 14-inch snare drum pad. It also features an 18-inch acoustic bass drum with built-in trigger pad. What's more, it comes with a 3-piece cymbal set consisting of a 14-inch hi-hat, a 15-inch crash and an 18-inch ride. Lastly, this hybrid kit comes with an Icon e-rack.

Intuitive MDL-1 module
At the heart of an electronic drum kit is the module, in this case, the MDL-1. This unit contains 700 sounds that go from vintage to modern drum samples. Some are recorded by famous drummers, others are geared toward a specific genre or even an iconic song. The samples were recorded in well-known studios in Nashville with a broad frequency range for optimal audio quality. There are also 35 effects and a recording function for up to twelve hours of music. Naturally, there are various connection options available including an aux input, eight line outputs, a Master output, a headphone output, USB port and MIDI output.

Unique cymbal pads
The Wave Trigger technology is also used in this kit's cymbal pads. They are also made up of multiple layers with a rubber top layer for an authentic playing feel and good volume dispersion. Just like the drum , the cymbal pads come in sizes that correspond with acoustic cymbals. The set includes an 18-inch triple zone ride, a double zone crash and a 14-inch double zone hi-hat. The hi-hat is also equipped with a movement sensor for clear articulation and a ventilated bottom cymbal for extra stability. This hi-hat is designed to fit on a regular hi-hat stand.
