Booking Scam - Achtung / Warnung
Hallo zusammen,
Zur Info:
Ich habe heute Nachmittag von der Booking App eine Pushnachricht erhalten, die ich ebenfalls im Nachrichtencenter aufrufen konnte:
"Hello! (Name entfernt), we regret to inform you that your booking may be cancelled as your card has not been automatically verified.
You need to verify your card again and confirm your identity.
Important: for verification, the card must have the amount of the booking on it, check that there are no restrictions on online transactions on the card."This is not a booking payment, but a confirmation."
● This must be done within 12 hours, otherwise the booking will be automatically cancelled.● We recommend using a Mastercard card.

Mir kam die ganze Geschichte komisch vor.
Ich habe im Vorfeld eine gültige Karte hinterlegt und der zu bestätigende Betrag war deutlich höher als der Buchungspreis. Zudem war eine afghanische Vorwahl hinterlegt und die Bankverbindung fuer die Überweisung kam mir absolut seltsam vor.
Ich habe das Hotel aufgrund dessen direkt kontaktiert und folgende Antwort bekommen:
"Hello (Name einsetzen), Please disregard the above message which was sent in by error! It might be a scam.We look forward to welcoming you."
Da die Nachricht via Booking App kam und auch im Nachrichtencenter hinterlegt ist, werden sicherlich viele Leute nicht misstrauisch sein und ihre Kreditkartendaten eingeben. Die ganze Geschichte ist recht gut gemacht.
