Intel stellt mittelfristig NUC ein.
Intel hat verkündet, daß sie keine weiteren Investitionen in die NUC-Produktlinie tätigen wird.

Das ist sehr bedauerlich, da hiermit qualitativ hochwertige Mini-PCs mit langem Support und schnellem Gerätetausch direkt durch Intel vom Markt verschwinden. Stärke war u.a. auch der doppelte Thunderbolt-Anschluß (weitgehend exklusiv), Schwachpunkt war die knapp dimensionierte Kühlung.
Bin gespannt, wie sich die Preise für die noch produzierten bzw. im Markt befindlichen Geräte hierzulande entwickeln.

sortiert nachIch habe bisher zweimal einen kostenlosen Gerätetausch bei Intel NUCs durchgeführt. Nicht wegen Hardwaredefekten, sondern weil frühes BIOS (NUC 9 Extreme) bzw. ein LSPCON-Firmware-Upgrade (NUC 10) die Teile unbrauchbar machten.
Die Qualität der von mir genutzten Asrock DeskMinis (H110 u. H470) war/ist durchwachsen (1x Amazon Rücknahme nach knapp zwei Jahren), der BIOS-Support währt nicht lange.
Bei den Chinakrachern, die am laufenden Band in den Markt geworfen werden und deren BIOS oft auch noch kastriert ist, wird der Support ungewiss bleiben.
Im Moment nutze ich ein NUC 13 Pro mit i5-1340P. (bearbeitet)
